This year marks the 3rd year of Adventurer Club here at Wrangell SDA Church, and we are so excited to be back! The club is open to kids in kindergarten through 3rd grade, and we meet at the church at 2:00 PM every other Sabbath from September through April. (See the flyer for the full meeting schedule.)
Our first meeting of the year was all about magnets. The Adventurers earned their Magnet Badge by learning how magnets work, then getting hands-on to make their own temporary magnet and their own electromagnet. It was fun watching them discover the science behind it, especially once the circuits started working and things really lit up.
This year's Bible story for the club is Elijah and Elisha, and we'll be spending the year exploring their stories, from fire falling from heaven to a whirlwind of angels to miracle after miracle. It's a story full of courage and faith, and we think the kids are going to love it.
If you have a K-3 kiddo, we'd love to have them join us, whether or not your family attends our church. Grab a flyer for the full schedule and we'll see you at the next meeting!
