Week of Prayer 2025

Picture
Welcome to Week of Prayer 2025. Our topic this year is The Prayer Life of David.

These aired locally on the radio November 23-29, 2025 at 7:30 am and 5:30 pm.

The Prayer Life of David

Day 1:  Prayer in Times of Trouble
David life was marked by many troubles- from Saul's pursuit to Absalom's rebellion.
David shows us that God hears our cries when we are overwhelmed and in distress.

Day 2:  Prayers of Praise and Worship
David was known as "the sweet psalmist of Israel" for a reason.
David teaches us to make praise  a priority.

Day 3:  Prayers of Confession and Repentance
David messed up royally several times and confessed just as many times.
David leads us to the knowledge that God does forgive.

Day 4:  Prayers for Guidance
Over and over David sought God for major decisions.
He shows us the importance of waiting on God and listening for God's voice.

Day 5: Prayers of Intercession
David was a prayer warrior for others; his son, his people.
David helps us see how important this role is and points us to Jesus as our ultimate intercessor.

Day 6: Prayer Routines
David prayed at night and in the early morning throughout his life.
Through his psalms we see an example of consistent prayer.

Day 7: Prayers of Trust and Surrender
David journeys from shepherd to king, and throughout it all, we see him trust and have faith in God.
We see that surrender is the highest form of prayer.
