Vank Island RentalSince the late 1960s, Vank Island has been hosting a youth camp known as Camp Lorraine. However the property also doubles as a place to host reunions and weddings as well as other events.
Facilities OverviewCamp Lorraine is equipped with seven working cabins, a gymnasium, a fully functioning bathhouse, and a lodge with a full kitchen.
CabinsCabins hold up to 10 people. Each cabin has 8 twin beds and 1 double bed. Please be advised you will want to bring your own bedding and mattresses.
There are two handicap accessible cabins one on the boys side and the other on the girls side of the camp. Lodge RoomsThe Lodge has 7 rooms that people can sleep in. There is a room downstairs near the kitchen that is near the handicap ramp and also the bathroom in the lodge. Upstairs has 6 rooms that can accommodate up to about 15 people. Please be advised that you will want to bring your own bedding and mattresses as not all the rooms have these amenities.
Lodge Dining RoomThe dining area has 8 tables that holds 8-10 people each with seating. This is also where the fire pit is located with seating around it.
Lodge KitchenThe Kitchen is equip with 2 ovens, 1 grill, and 4 burner stove top fueled by propane. There is a commercial sized fridge, freezer, and mixer. And a microwave available. There are 3 commercial sized sinks. There is cookware and utensils available in the kitchen.
GymnasiumThe Gym has a stage at the front of the building. There are also folding chairs that can be set up for events. The gym can hold up to approx. 150 people. This is the only building that is not handicapped accessible at this time.
BathhouseThe Bathroom is fully functional with 4 bathroom stalls on each side. The girls side has 4 shower stalls and the boys side has 3 shower stalls. The building is handicap accessible via a ramp. This hot and cold water that runs to the sinks.

Location/TransportationVank Island is located on its own island between Petersburg and Wrangell. Therefore renters must find their own boat/air transportation to the island. If you have questions please contact us.
